A Portrait Made Easy

Nadine, Montgomery AL  Hello all! Well the journey continues for my quest to become a certified photographer. 3 classes down and 2 classes to go. I started another class last week called Portrait Photography Using Available Light. For my first assignment I was to photograph someone other than a family member and someone I've never photographed before. I didn't have to think too hard and called on my boy’s daycare provider’s daughter's Nadine. Nadine is in 8th grade and needless to say is beautiful, smart and has goals of becoming a nurse. My boys love their entire family and when I told them that I was taking pictures of Nadine they immediately wanted to go to Alabama Shakespeare Festival in order to feed the ducks and walk through the museum. For my assignment I had to submit 3 different photos and Nadine made it difficult to choose the photos because they all came out so well! That's a great problem to have and I couldn't have asked for a better photography subject. I've had weeks where I wasn't thrilled about any of my photos.

Once again, thanks Nadine for your assistance and you did an excellent job. I hope you enjoy the pictures and tell your sister Nikki I didn't forget about her.

Great Time with Wetumpka Neighbors!

Good afternoon everyone! I had a great time with our neighbors Joe and Misty Trussell today along with their two dogs Jackie Bell (Border Collie) and Jesse (German Sheppard). I really wish everyone could have neighbors like them; kind hearted, good people that love the Lord. Our goal was to capture 4 good shots that they could use for Christmas cards but we managed to almost triple that number! Needless to say you never know the outcome when photographing furry loved ones but Jackie Bell was a ham for the camera!

The excitement started when intimidating Big Boy Jesse came on the scene. With full excitement and plenty of water on hand his enormous tongue would never stay in so we had fun with his natural antics. I must say they both are great dogs and are lucky to have great owners. Glad you like the pictures Joe and Misty! See you for dinner in a couple weeks and Merry Christmas!
